A Celebration of Sailing, Community, and Competition

St. Augustine Race Week 2026: A Celebration of Sailing, Community, and Competition

St. Augustine Race Week 2026 once again proved why it has become one of the most anticipated sailing events in Northeast Florida. Hosted by the First Coast Sailing Association, this multi-week regatta brought together sailors of all ages and skill levels for an unforgettable series of races, community gatherings, and on-the-water excitement.

From youth sailors just beginning their journey to seasoned offshore competitors, the energy surrounding this year’s event was undeniable.

A Multi-Week Sailing Experience for All Levels

The 2026 St. Augustine Race Week (SARW) featured a dynamic lineup of racing events designed to engage the full sailing community.

The RS Aero Florida State Championship, sponsored by the St. Johns County Tourist Development Council, kicked off the season in March. April followed with a full schedule of racing:

With 28 boats competing in the offshore races alone, the fleet showcased an impressive range of vessels from Catalinas and Beneteaus to Jeanneau models, Olson 30s, C&Cs, Pearsons, Morgans, and more.

On the Water: The Heart of the Action

As the sponsor of the Offshore Cruising Series, All Points Yacht Sales had a front-row seat to the action, serving as the official committee boat for both offshore divisions.

From that vantage point, the excitement was constant.

Watching each race begin, with sails tightening and crews dialing in their strategies, set the tone for the day. The conditions couldn’t have been better, sunny skies, a steady light breeze in the morning, and a building wind in the afternoon that challenged sailors to adapt and perform.

Each lap brought its own intensity, with tactical decisions unfolding in real time and boats jockeying for position across the course.

To capture it all, a professional photographer was onboard, documenting the energy, precision, and beauty of offshore racing in St. Augustine.

More Than Racing: A Community Celebration

While the racing itself was exhilarating, St. Augustine Race Week is just as much about the community as it is about competition.

Each evening, sailors, spectators, and supporters gathered at the St. Augustine Municipal Marina for lively social events featuring food, drinks, and live music. These gatherings created the perfect atmosphere to share stories from the day, build connections, and celebrate the sport.

The week concluded with an awards dinner hosted at the St. Augustine Yacht Club, bringing everyone together to recognize achievements and reflect on an incredible event.
